PopularHYSL BasketballHigley Youth Sports LeagueOur mission is to extend educational opportunities through athletic competition and competitive performance. These 6 week long sessions will promote citizenship, sportsmanship, a healthy lifestyle, and positive life skills in our student athletes. Practices are held prior to game time. (Additional weekday practice will be organized by Coach of each team) Games are held once a week on Monday evenings at Power Ranch Elementary and Chaparral Elementary (Possibly other campuses, depending on enrollment numbers). Rosters and game schedule will be sent out once registration closes. Volunteer coaches are needed. Location: Power Ranch K-2: Time: 8am to 9am 3-6: Time: 9am to 10am Students will need to bring: Water bottle, wear gym attire like shorts and t-shirt or sweater, and be ready to have fun! First 30 minutes will be basic fundamentals Ground ball Cradle (in triple threat position) • Running with the stick and ball Passing and catching Shooting on goal Will add Outlet Passing if time allows Last 30 minutes will be to cover FLEX6 Lacrosse play ODO rotation (Offense Defense Off) House defense (Zone) Offense position with one pass before players can shoot on goal No equipment necessary! PopularSCAT Club @ BridgesEnrichment ProgramsSCAT Club's purpose is to get kids outside moving. As well as to give kids the confidence to pursue sports and other active lifestyle choices. SCAT club is an after school club at Bridges elementary that is fast paced and high intensity. SCAT stands for Strength, Conditioning, Agility, Training. The club provides a 40-45 minute high intensity workout that focuses on muscular strength/endurance, cardiovascular, and flexibility. Teacher: Mr. Ross Location: Gymnasium and Fields Geared towards K-6th Graders - Bridges Students Only Mondays and Fridays (Qtr3) (3:05pm - 4:00pm) Quarter 3 runs January 6th - February 17th Quarter 4 runs April 4th - May 11th Cost: $100 (Quarter 3 & 4) Once a club has begun, no refunds/credits will be given for unattended days. Prorating for a club due to the inability to attend certain classes is also not condoned.Enrichment Programs 22-23
